Conner has been moved to room 3006.
He had a rough night and was having a rough morning. He was getting morphine every 3 hours and they were trying to get him to take liquid motrin in between to keep up with the pain. Conner was refusing the motrin....until they went to get it in supository form...he chugged the motrin. Bless his heart. His stomach is very upset and he wants to go home.
I was hoping that maybe when he got into his own hospital room and out of intensive care, he might feel a little better. Michele said he still isn't very happy.
Some amazing facts....his incision is only 1-2 inches long according to the doctor (Michele hasn't seen it yet) They didn't have to cut into his neck so those nerves have not been affected. His neck is very tender because of the manuvering during surgery. They had to scrape some of his skull and vertebrae. I'm sure this is contributing to his pain.
Upon recovery, he will have no restrictions with the exception of wrestling and boxing. He can play football & 4-wheel (with a helmit), baseball, soccer etc.
It has been a long night for his family. Please keep them in prayer....
