The girls were SO EXCITED to have Tayler at the Spectacular!

The girls brought home many first place awards this year! Gpa Mike really liked this trophy!

Madison in her prisoner costume from their production dance JAILBREAK!

Grace is one of the prison guards in JAILBREAK!

This dance...5 6 7 8....placed high in every competition! Sooooo Cute!

Grace had a fantastic first year on the Elite Dance Team!

Madison's costume in "LET'S PARTY!"

One of my favorites...a great line tap routine called "BIG TIME."

Big finish of JAILBREAK...

A highlight in the 5-6-7-8 dance that always got the crowd cheering!!! This is the cutest song...I'd never heard it before!

Kickline in BIG TIME!

Madison and Grace just completed their Elite Dance Team competition season and it was a fantastic year for them!! All their dances either won or scored high in every competition! I made it to all competitions except for the last one in Akron!

The girls will be performing a few more times including at Coshocton's FIRST FRIDAY downtown Coshocton this Friday, May 1st! Dance recitals on June 6th and 7th at Coshocton HS.

We highly recommend Miss Jennifer's Dance Studio located at Kid's America in Coshocton! She is an awesome teacher!

Christmas 2008

View of our family room from my rocking chair! That tree is the one the children decorated! It was beautiful!

My parents preparing to light the advent candles on Christmas Eve. They were wonderful and we were all very proud!

Cookie kitty hanging out in the big tree! Chloe didn't even try to climb this year! She is too big to get herself up!

Chad was home for a few days before Christmas....just in time to ice the sugar cookies! Oh my...some of those cookies were VERY INTERESTING!!!

It was really COLD this night...maybe 3 degrees above zero. Their hair turned to ice! They had on Christmas lights and Christmas music was playing on the outside speakers! It was very festive!

Heading to their Christmas Eve Service at Roscoe United Methodist Church
It's been a LONG time since I blogged! I've been sharing pictures on Kodak Gallery and started a homepage on facebook but they really aren't the same as blogging!

Christmas was wonderful! Chad made it home a few days before Christmas then headed back to North Carolina. He enjoyed some time in the holiday hottub with Christmas lights and holiday music! My parents did the Advent reading at the candlelight service. Mike and I were home Christmas morning then headed to Coshocton as soon as presents were opened and we got the "Merry Christmas" phone call from the grandchildren! It was a fun and blessed day!!

During the holiday, I was sitting in the rocker with the camera on the table beside me. I picked it up and took a few pictures from my seat....the family room through the old french doors and the staircase. They turned out so pretty! I included the one of the family room. The house is so old with wallpaper that needs replaced and woodwork that need stripped and refinished but at Christmas it comes to life!

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday.....

Learned Something New

Well...my regular email is not receiving messages but a call to Time Warner taught me how I can check my email from any computer through the webmail site.

That's good to know!!

By the way....TW says the problem is with Mozilla. I called our computer guy, Greg. I don't know anything about Mozilla and I don't understand anything I'm reading at their site.

I'm thankful for our computer guy Greg!

Email

fyi....Today is Thursday, November 20 and my email is down. It keeps telling me my inbox is full which it is not. It won't accept any new emails.

If you need anything...please call....until I get the email situation figured out.

Love to all...
Leslie

Wise words....

I don't have much time before my little people arrive for daycare/Preschool but I received a couple of emails this week with messages that I thought were important....

"Everyone is hungry for a kind word. Feed them."

AND

"Watch your thoughts, they become words
Watch your words; they become actions
Watch your actions, they become habits
Watch your habits, they become character
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny"

I just loved those 2 emails. Life is tough these days. Be kind to one another. And especially for the sake of children who are watching us....be a person of good character....they will, in all likelihood, become what they live with. Fill your homes with love and joy and may they see you work through the hard times with a faith and trust in our Lord! It's going to be okay!

I love you all....sorry I'm such a blog party pooper these days! I could use an extra day in the week and a few more hours in my days! I'll be back with pictures...someday!

Congratulations to granddaughters, Madison AND Grace, who tried out and were selected for Miss Jennifer's Elite Dance Team! We are very proud of you both.

Happy 76th Birthday to my dad, David Hood! He was born September 29, 1932.

Prayer Request for my mom who undergoes knee replacement surgery at Grant Hospital tomorrow, October 9th. She will be in the hospital for 4 days. Her goal is to be up and running by Thanksgiving! She has a great attitude going into this and I'm sure she will do wonderful! (even though she is a self professed "whimp" I would never give her that title!)

And last but certainly not least...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY HUSBAND....MIKE!!!! His birthday is TODAY, OCTOBER 8th!!

He took a vacation day so he is hanging at home with me and the kids. I had hoped to send him off golfing with our son in law but the weather didn't cooperate!

love to all....

I'm running out of weekend!!

I know I promised pictures but I'm running out of weekend and still have laundry, lesson plans and porch windows to paint! Don't give up on me!

Our Redskins soccer team lost in a non league game last night to Bloom Carroll. It was a great game! We brought Andrew home with us. He and I are heading to the mall for a little mall cruisin.

Guardedly (is that a word?) eager for the Browns game today. There has been a lot of talk about how strong they are this year but I sure didn't see it in Pre Season. We still love them!

Have a great Sunday! Pictures coming sometime....

I'm Still Here!

I don't have time to post right now but I promise some updates this weekend! I've had some frustrations trying to upload pictures and I had to stop for a while.

We have been to more of Andrew's soccer games...they are 6-0! We went to Taste of Coshocton County...the United Way kick off...where we ate wonderful food and watched Madison dance as part of the entertainment. We went to the first Tri Valley home football game last Friday and going to another one tonight. I have been preparing for my new batch of daycare children...all boys...and preparing their Pre-K lessons. Granddog, Libby, was "fixed" last week and is being introduced to an electric fence this week (does that qualify for cruelty to animals!) We will bring her a present this weekend to make her feel better. We watched some beautiful fireworks last Sunday. They were postponed to Labor Day weekend from our rainy 4th of July. We had a front row seat in my parent's front yard! Millers and Hassemans joined us from Coshocton. Ginger and nieces, Courtney and Katelyn, sold glow bracelets to benefit our Light the Night Cancer Walk funds! I sold 19 from the front yard! I had a big "Back to School Pajama Party" for my Summer kids...it was fun!

Okay....that's a few of the things that have, again, had me to pooped to post!

I'll be back with some pictures.....sometime soon!
