Tri Valley Football Banquet

We were invited to nephew Logan's Football Banquet and we were not going to say NO to that invitation....not even kidney cancer had kept us away from games this season! We were excited to see this team one more time. It was a great evening! I have loved watching this group grow up and become the exciting, record setting team they were this past year. It seems like just yesterday we were so proud of them as Freshmen STARTING on the Tri Valley Varsity squad! Time has gone by too fast....I wasn't ready for it to be over.

Thank you DAWGS for inspiring me every Friday night and giving me these incredible games to look forward to week after week!

WOOF! WOOF! A season to remember...

#1 FAN...ME...with my favorite player, Logan and my favorite driver/husband, Mike! Thanks for getting us to all the games early and for taking such great care of me!

Championship football presented to all players....

Our favorite cheerleader and cousin...Caitlin Hindel. Thanks for all the great t-shirts thrown our way, Cait! We will miss you! (we will be at basketball games too...keep them coming our way for a little while longer!)
Proud parents, Ida and Bob Lewis
Proud grandparents...Dave and Yvonne Hood

Dustin's R & R

Our nephew, Dustin Hood, was home from the Kuwait/Iraq border for a 2 week R & R. He had so much to do and so many people to see besides spending lots of time with his 3 beautiful children. So it was enough for us to just know he was home and filling his time with family and friends. It was a wonderful surprise when he and his dad stopped in for a quick visit! He looks great! His dad is so proud of him....and we are too! I couldn't quit hugging him!

He will be home for good....after 2 years of service....in July 2008.

Locks of Love from Madison

Granddaughter Madison has been growing her hair for Locks of Love ever since she saw a friend do it last year. Her hair will be used for a wig for a child who cannot grow hair! Awesome!

She finally made the appointment this week! We are so proud of her!

Before the cut..........
Back view....they needed 10 inches!
Her hair was so thick, they did 2 ponytails to make it easier to cut.
One side done..........
back view of the new cut
New cut...................and a new wig for a child! What a great gift!

Happy Birthday Andrew!

We took Andrew to Garfields for his Birthday lunch on Saturday, November 10th. He wasn't thrilled with the "Birthday song" by the waiters and waitresses but his dad and Grandpa enjoyed the free dessert! He got a new cell phone from his parents! It was a fun afternoon!

Mom Valerie and her 14 year old!

Grandma Leslie and Grandpa Mike......we are so proud of him!

We would like to think we are the only girls in his life....

These two still act like teenagers!

Update coming!!!

I have so much to share but I'm not very quick at uploading/downloading the pictures but I promise to have some updates this week.

Quickly....I am still feeling great!

I have been blessed by God, energized by family and inspired by my Tri Valley Football Dawgs! What an incredible season! Woof! Woof!!

I think I have football games, soccer banquets (hmmmm, maybe I already shared the soccer banquet), Trick or Treat, Lincoln Elementary Pastries with Parents/Grandparents, Kidney Cancer Conference, church testimony and somebody's 14th Birthday to share!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDSON ANDREW!!

It's been wonderfully busy! We're never home!!

Starting back to work today with just one of my precious children...Cortney. I'm anxiously awaiting her arrival! I have to rebuild my daycare family and look forward to new relationships and "daycare grandchildren!" I have lots of stored up love & HUGS to give!!
I can't wait!

I'll be back with pictures and updates throughout the week!
Gobble! Gobble!

It's over....the battle was won!

Mike and I had a wonderful day in Cleveland. The drive was beautiful and the weather was perfect.

They were running late in Molecular Imaging where I had my scan so Dr. Desai didn't have my results when I saw him at 2:30 (appointment was supposed to be at 1:15). He felt good sending me home. He liked my blood work and was happy to hear the spasms and back pain were gone. He said usually these procedures fail in the first 3 weeks...mine seems to be doing good.

I was at Valerie's today and Mike got the call from the Clinic. The scan was normal.

They don't need me back until April!

I'm still trying to absorb it. Lots of emotion tonight.
There are no words to thank everyone for your love and support...family, friends, co-workers, church, community, young and old, near and far.

May God bless you as you have blessed my life.
love to all...
Leslie
